Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of woman with brown sculpted hair captured in chignon, enamel eyes, side-gazing expression, tow-wrapped posable body, wooden lower arms and legs, painted red stockings and black heeled clogs, original costume, and holding a bowl filled bountifully with various fruits. Comments: posed seated upon tree stump on original wooden base alongside a basket of vegetables, and with further accessory objects from the artistic works of Neapolitan artisans aiming to create a complete scene of village and farm life, including terra cotta bird with colorful features, beak and enamel eyes; wooden cage with hinged opening containing a small goose; and woven basket with terra cotta goose and plate of goose eggs.
