Description
23" (58 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead with plump facial modeling, blue glass inset eyes, deeply-modeled features, closed mouth, light brown hair inserted into scalp and forming brows, softly-stuffed muslin body, poured wax lower limbs. Condition: very good, some fading of facial features, repair to right wrist and left foot. Comments: English, circa 1880, faint illegible oval stamp on torso. Value Points: very expressive wistful features, the doll is wearing her original costume and shoes.
