Description
11" (28 cm.) man. 10"h, fireplace. Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of man with brown sculpted windblown hair, impressed facial wrinkles, enamel eyes, closed mouth with two teeth, tow-wrapped armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted green stockings and brown shoes with black buckles, original costume. Condition: generally excellent, some darkening of costume. Comments: Neapolitan, mid-1700s. Included is carved wooden fireplace mantel.
