Bisque socket head with plump rounded face, dark blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, outlined lips, impressed dimple at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Mark: Figure C no2 Steiner Bte SGDG Paris. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1882. Value Points: very fine artistic painting of features such as lip corners and dimples are enhanced by excellent subtle blushing, original body and body finish.
