Of golden silk woven with abstract floral and leaf design, the gown features a dropped rounded neckline edged with pleated silk ruffle, front closure with V-shaped set-in waist, flared skirt, and coat sleeves with silk pleated cuffs and unusual Juliet-like set-in shoulders. Excellent condition. French, mid-1800s.
