15" (38 cm.) All-latex composition with swivel head, jointing at shoulders and hips, deeply defined and painted facial features, large blue painted eyes, painted lower lashes, black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils of rounded nose, closed mouth very full lips, impressed dimples, brunette human hair in side-parted fashion. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: IX (incised back of head). Comments: Dewees Cochran, the celebrated American doll artist noted for her distinctive portrait dolls of children. Value Points: rarely found model with strong features, original finish, wearing original plaid dress with smocking at the waist, lace collar, panties, socks, black shoes.
