19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, large amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined and shaded detail, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique aqua silk costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3/EJ (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, first era of the EJ model. Value Points: especially beautiful wide-eyed bebe with splendid amber eyes, choice complexion, original body and body finish.
