22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head, very deep amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with some scuffing. Marks: R. 2 D. Comments: Rabery and Delphieu, circa 1885. Value Points: the early period bebe has superb eyes enhanced by exquisite decoration, antique dress with lace trim, quilted ivory satin bonnet, undergarments, brown leather shoes and carrying woven lidded basket.
