15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, rich brown complexion, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, black brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coal shaded lips, pierced ears, black mohair wig, brown composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner, circa 1882, the doll closely resembles the French bebe A.T. whose market it sought to capture. Value Points: rare and beautiful doll, with flawless bisque, lovely amber eyes, original body, antique costume and bonnet.
