Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes with darker blue iris rims, painted lashes, brushstroked feathered brows, closed mouth with impressed dimples at lip corners, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, jointed wrists. Marks: S 16 H 939. Condition: generally excellent, body is appropriately sized but may not be original. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful eyes and complexion, rare closed mouth variation of the model.
