42" (107 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with sculpting detail, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D made in Germany 20 142. Comments: Kestner, circa 1900. Value Points: largest size of this model, having fine bisque and original body finish, wearing antique blue woolen fireman's uniform with silver buttons embossed "Philadelphia F.D." along with original fireman's hat. The hat bears the emblem of "Wm Horstmann Company, Philadelphia", and the jacket and pants have the label of "Wm. Leopold, 6th & South St, Philadelphia".
