16" (41 cm.) Of fine walnut, the double door armoire has carved side columns, brass door hardware, and elaborate multi-colored armorial designs on each door panel; the armoire opens to a shelved interior containing an assortment of wrapped linens, towels and lace-edged cloths, each tied with original blue silk ribbons; the interior doors are lined with muslin chemises with lace trim and blue silk ribbons. French, circa 1885. Excellent condition.
