Each has carved wooden head with well-defined sculpting of facial features, the woman with unusual detail of painted forehead bangs, and elaborately carved chignon encircled by painted hair ornaments, very expressive features, the man with high domed forehead and painted black pate at back of head; each with cloth body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese wooden Door of Hope mission dolls, circa 1920s.
