7" (18 cm.) x 9" 4 1/2" doll. Presented with original box with illustrated lid is a cloth bound hard cover book with applique label "The Jingle of a Jap" relating the story of a little paper-mache ningyo who falls hopelessly in love with a blonde-haired wax doll. Written by Clara Bell Thurston, published by Caldwell, Boston, 1906, the book is enhanced by the presence of a small paper mache ningyo doll tied on the front cover of the book. Book and doll excellent, box has some wear and spotting.
