Description
22" (57 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted blue eyes with glaze highlights, thick black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full shaded and outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, few typical wig pulls at back of head. Marks: K*R 114 57. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, "Gretchen", from the firm's art character series. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque and painting enhances the deeply modeled wistful expression, original body and body finish, original wig, antique costume and shoes.
