15" (38 cm.) Firmly-pressed muslin doll with painted facial features, white mohair wig and beard, stitched-on felt costume depicting the uniform of the Yeoman of the Guard. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Liberty of London, 1930s, included with the doll are 1936 letters from the US Embassy and Hamley's store of London, concerning the search to acquire this doll. Value Points: vibrant original colors are well maintained.
