Description
10" (25 cm.) Each is all-cloth doll with swivel head, hand-pressed and painted complexion, facial features; the girl with short brown curly hair, and the boy with blonde curly mohair wig, each with pale blue eyes with pronounced pupils, painted red upper lashes, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin body with disc-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Bing, who in 1921 created his Kruse-like dolls in an attempt to capitalize on those doll's popularity; a 1925 lawsuit precluded any further production making the dolls quite rare. Value Points: well-preserved little dolls in fine unplayed with condition, wearing original costumes in fresh bright colors.
