Description
6" (15 cm.) inside hat dimension. 12" overall h. The wire-framed bonnet with sateen lining is draped with unusual narrowly pleated black silk in an elaborate confection, and with wide black taffeta streamers. The bonnet is preserved in original (worn) paper covered hat box. Early 1800s.
