Description
13" (33 cm.) excluding hat. Bisque shoulderhead, blue glass eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, carton torso with hidden music box, maple wood handle. When twirled around, music plays. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S&H Halbig. Comments: Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890, the marotte was a popular novelty at festive events during this era. Value Points: all-original with ivory, blue and lace jester style costume and matching trimmed cap.
