4" (10 cm.) h, brass case. Enclosed in a brass oval hinged case is a coral silk pocket decorated with tinsel and beading, and a brass framed velvet and bead heart under domed glass, both made by cloistered nuns, early 1800s. Along with six various cards with hand-written wishes for the birth of a new child. Mid-1800s. Excellent condition and quite rare to find.
