Description
5.5" (14 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie has one-piece head and torso, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, modeled forelock curl and topknot, painted side-glancing eyes, dash brows, and one-stroke closed mouth, with modeled blue wings. Excellent condition. Germany, c. 1912, designed by Rose O'Neill, the extra articulation of the legs was considered a luxury detail.
