Description
9" (23 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie with one-piece head and torso, has loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, modeled detail of blonde forelock curl, blonde topknot, blue wings, painted side-glancing eyes, curly upper lashes, brown dash brows, smiling expression, and wearing blue and white checkered dress and matching bonnet with lace edging (the dress with Krueger label). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1912, designed by Rose O'Neill, rare large size with jointed legs, and exceptionally fine detailing of blush on body and cheeks.
