4.75" (12 cm.) l. Arranged on the lid of a bisque wicker bassinet is a bisque child modeled with delighted expression on his face and merrily waving arms, and an all-bisque tiny Kewpie posed as though tumbling, with forelock, topknot, side-glancing eyes and blue wings. The lid is accented with nicely draped blankets and pillows, and the basket has impressed wicker patterns all around. Marked c. in circle. Germany, c. 1915, a very rare object with charming Kewpie theme is perfectly preserved.
