Description
4.5" (11 cm.) One-piece all-bisque Kewpie is posed standing, having side-glancing eyes, blue wings, and sculpted grey cap with red banding which hides the classic topknot and forelock, his arms held at his side, right hand clasping his rifle, and left hand resting atop the sculpted sabre at his left side, black felt. Excellent condition but restoration to tip of rifle. Germany, c. 1915, designed by Rose O'Neill.
