Description
3" (8 cm.) One-piece all-bisque figure of Kewpie baby known as Blunderboo is posed lying on his bottom, his upper torso and head uplifted and supported by his outstretched arms, and his feet waving in air, painted forelock and topknot, side-glancing eyes glancing at the cream-colored splotch design on his right shoulder which seems to perplex and delight the baby, plump cheeks punctuated by up-curled ends of wide smile, blue wings. Excellent condition, Incised O'Neill on underside. Germany, c. 1915, Blunderboo is presented in silk-lined blue wicker basket with garland of flowers.
