Description
3" (8 cm.) One-piece all-bisque seated Kewpie with right arm outstretched, bent knees, and turned head to gaze at the toy bunny hidden in an eggshell which he is holding with his left hand; Kewpie has forelock, topknot, blue wings. Excellent condition. With original red paper chest label "Kewpie Reg. U.S. Pat. Off Germany" and original paper label on back. Germany, c. 1915, an unusual size, larger than the tiny Kewpie series, and with delightful detail of bunny toy.
