Description
11" (28 cm.) Stuffed cloth Kewpie with mask face having classic side-glancing eyes and thin line smile, and with back of head and body completely stitch-covered in original ivory satin cover, with dart shaping of body and peaked crown. The doll has original ruffled ivory cotton collar and original silk ribbon with traces of original hand-painted flowers. With original cloth label "Kewpie Re. US Pat. Off Made in USA" and with Rose O'Neill stylized signature. Wonderfully preserved in pristine condition. American, Krueger, c. 1930s.
