Description
14" (36 cm.) x 11" framed, The hand-written letter signed Rose O'Neill Wilson to Mr. Willing thanked him for a condolence letter he had written to her, and then replied with her own verses about the death of a young man, presumably her brother James who died in 1905 at the age of 24, concluding with the note "these verses have never been touched or purified in any way - left rude as they were written in the week after he died". The four page letter is double framed, viewable from both sides, likely written in between 1905-1907 when she divorced Harry Wilson and gave up his name.
