5" (13 cm.) h. seated. All-bisque seated Kewpie with one-piece head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms, with blue side curls peeking from beneath a very elaborate modeled helmet decorated with white plumed crest, red banding, and raised gilt eagle design and brim band. Kewpie has side-glancing eyes and blue wings. Excellent condition. Germany, c. 1915, very rare Kewpie with wonderfully detailed helmet, rare jointed arms.
