2" (5 cm.) Kewpies. 7"h. 8"w. platform. Arranged upon a bisque cloud are eight bisque one-piece Kewpies in a variety of poses and activities. Each is one-piece bisque with classic features of topknot, forelock curl, blue wings and side- glancing eyes. The collection includes: seated Kewpie with book with blue vase alongside (red paper label); seated Kewpie holding a mandolin and leaning against a blue vase (red paper label); seated Kewpie holding a cornucopia; seated Kewpie with roses; seated Kewpie with book with blue vase alongside; seated Kewpie with blue basket; and Kewpie lying on the lid of a blue hamper (red paper label), and standing Kewpie with outstretched arms. Excellent condition. The Kewpies are German, c. 1915, later assembled on bisque cloud.
