Description
4.5" (11 cm.) l. All-bisque Kewpie is seated on a bisque wicker chair, his folded arms resting on the table in front of him which is laden with teacup, sugar, creamer and plate of pastries. Kewpie has forelock, topknot, blue wings, side-glancing eyes, neatly arranged ankles and appears to be waiting patiently for his treats. Marked with red paper label and c. in circle on underside. Germany, c. 1915, from Rose O'Neill designs, with wonderful attention to details of table and chair which are positioned on original attached base.
