3.5" (9 cm.) One-piece all-bisque figure of Kewpie seated with tightly folded arms across its chest, and with daintily crossed ankles and shyly-tilted head, with topknot, forelock, blue wings, and side-glancing eyes, attached to bisque "wicker" chair. Excellent condition. Marked c. in circle. Germany, c. 1915, from Rose O'Neill designs, variations of the seated crossed arms Kewpie were also made such as the rare Kewpie at the Tea Table (#92 this book).
