Description
5" (13 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie with one-piece bisque head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms, with side-glancing eyes and blue wings, with rare sculpted costume which is variously described as sailor or Dutch boy or pirate, comprising white stocking cap, white shirt, pink tie at the neck, brown belt, blue shorts. Excellent condition. Marked O'Neill on feet. Germany, c. 1915 from designs by Rose O'Neill.
