4.25" (11 cm.) h. All-bisque one-piece vignette depicting Kewpie with outspread right arm and left arm clinging to neck of stork, riding on the back of a winged stork which has impressed and painted feather details, one wing modeled away from the body as though about to take flight. Kewpie has classic features of topknot, blue wings, side-glancing eyes. Excellent condition except tip of back feathers chipped. Germany, circa 1915, from original designs by Rose O'Neill.
