Two Rare Kewpie Porcelain Dishes with "Ladder at the Window" Theme

6" (15 cm.) diam. plate. Each of fine porcelain with green/yellow/grey hand-painted background featuring a ladder leading up a second floor window, including plate with four Blunderboo Kewpies climbing (and falling from) the ladder; and a cream pitcher with two Kewpie soldiers with painted helmets and rifles standing guard alongside the ladder. Each piece is marked "Copyright Rose O'Neill Wilson Kewpie Germany". Excellent condition. Germany, c. 1915, from O'Neill illustrations, the ladder theme is very hard to find.
