Description
4" (10 cm.) 5" and 6". Each is one-piece all-bisque Kewpie in seated pose, with knees drawn up and having bent arms supporting head, modeled topknot, forelock, blue wings, and side-glancing eyes. Excellent condition. Each incised O'Neill on underside and one with original paper label. Germany, c. 1915, the model is known as The Thinker, said to have been inspired by Rodin's statue of The Thinker.
