Description
3.5" (9 cm.) One-piece all-bisque standing Kewpie with topknot, forelock, blue wings, and side-glancing eyes, holding a brown-handled black bisque umbrella in his left hand, with his right arm extended with folded fist holding a thread leash which leads to a black and white spotted Doodle Dog with blue wings which is amusingly sitting on Kewpie's right foot. Excellent condition. Marked with c. in circle and red heart Kewpie paper label on chest. Germany, c. 1915, the rare model combines features of the popular Kewpie Traveler and the Doodle Dog theme.
