11" (28 cm.) Stuffed cloth Kewpie with mask face having classic side-glancing eyes and thin line smile, and with back of head and body completely stitch-covered in original ivory satin cover, with dart shaping of body and peaked crown. The doll has original ruffled ivory cotton collar and original silk ribbon with hand-painted yellow roses. With original cloth label "Kewpie Reg. US Pat. Off Made in USA" and with Rose O'Neill stylized signature. Very good condition, few light spots on ivory. American, Krueger, c. 1930s.
