Description
5.5" (14 cm.) One-piece all-bisque Kewpie is posed seated on upholstered green chair, a large mandolin clasped in his arms, with downcast head, side-glancing eyes, modeled forelock, topknot and blue wings. Excellent condition. Marked c. in circle. Germany, c. 1915, designed by Rose O'Neill, from a series of seated Kewpies in chair with various objects.
