Two Kewpies as Civil War Soldiers with Caps, Rifles and Swords

3.5" (9 cm.) and 5". Each is one-piece all-bisque Kewpie with sculpted red Civil War soldier cap with black brim, blue wings, side-glancing eyes and each with black velvet belt, holster with silver-tipped sabre, and brown rifle. The larger is marked c. in circle and the smaller is attached on original base and has red heart-shaped paper label. Excellent condition, red paint on caps have typical rubs. Germany, c. 1915, designed by Rose O'Neill.
