6.3" (16 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie in classic standing pose has one-piece head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms, modeled forelock curl, topknot, blue wings, large side-glancing eyes, marked O'Neill on feet, remnants of original paper label on chest, and red stamp Germany on back. Excellent condition. Germany, c. 1915, from Rose O'Neill designs, especially pleasing blush detail.
