Description
4.5" (11 cm.) Each is all-bisque, with one-piece head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms, forelock curl peeking from beneath wide-brimmed farmer's sun hat, blue wings, side-glancing eyes, and with sculpted and painted white shirt and blue overalls (one with pink suspenders, one with blue suspenders); the detail of costume continues around the back of each Kewpie. One is excellent, other has restoration at right back torso. Marked O'Neill on feet. Germany, c. 1915, from Rose O'Neill designs, a delightful pair.
