Description
3.5" (9 cm.) Bisque figure of Kewpie sprawled on its tummy in a playful manner, with outstretched arms, head turned to the side and with side-glancing eyes as though peeking at the bisque Doodle Dog which is impishly seated on Kewpie's back. Each has modeled blue wings; Kewpie has modeled topknot and forelock; and Doodle Dog has shaded black spots, and painted whiskers. Marked c. in circle. Excellent condition. Germany, c. 1915.
