Description
3" (8 cm.) Seated all-bisque Kewpie with upturned toes, outstretched arms, tilted head, modeled forelock, topknot, side-glancing eyes and blue wings, holds a yellow cat in its lap. Marked c (in circle) and with original red paper label on torso. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1912, the model, #4845, was featured in the 1912 Kewpie catalog presented by Borgfeldt, the cat was offered in a variety of colors.
