Description
8" (20 cm.) overall. 4" to waist. Porcelain waist-up figure of young girl having sculpted curly grey hair with topknot and large yellow bow at the side, with sculpted draped shawl over green blouse, her arms arms extended in front with a bouquet of colorful Dresden flowers held in her right hand, on attached pincushion base with silk overskirt. Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel & Kister, circa 1911, with wonderful details such as gold beaded necklace. The figure appeared in the Dressel & Kister catalog of that year and shown as being available as a full-doll (see lot 35) or this half-doll.
