Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck on matching shoulderplate allowing side-to-side swivel only, very full facial shape, cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-shaded brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid-over-wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent, fine professional restoration to few finger tips. Marks: Aux Reves de L'Enfance Speciality de Poupees, 40 R. de Richelieu, Paris (stamp on torso). Comments: Barrois, circa 1865, the doll was presented at the prestigious Parisian doll boutique Aux Reves de L'Enfance.
