Pressed bisque socket head, blue glass enamel inset eyes with rich spiral threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, mauve blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and accented lips, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body, straight wrists, wearing vintage ivory silk and lace dress, matching bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 J (symbol) M. (head) Paris (torso). Comments: Mothereau, circa 1882. Value Points: rarely found doll, its rarity matched by exquisite quality of bisque and painting, splendid eyes, original body and body finish.
