18" (46 cm.) Tosca hair with curled bangs and hair drawn back into two clusters of curls at the back of her head, walking-style five-piece body, green sleep eyes. Wearing a tagged costume reminiscent of 1850 fashions, comprising slate blue faille taffeta with side panniers and bustle drapery delicately etched with narrow white silk braid, delicate tulle sleevelets, tulle hooped taffeta petticoat, panties, stockings, black snap shoes, elaborate "tiny hat of starched white lace with a top-knot of roses and forget-me-nots" (as described in the Alexander catalog) tied with fuchsia streamers, velvet fuchsia reticule, "diamond" earrings. Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, the portrait model "Victoria", #2030C, 1954 with original box. The "Me and My Shadow" series, introduced in 1954, was described in the Alexander catalog as "portrait dolls of charm and distinction with miniature portrait dolls to match...Each doll a gem of perfection".
