Description
9" (23 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, plump cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner, feathered brows, rose blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two square-cut upper teeth and one square-cut lower tooth, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-jointed bisque arms and muscular-shaped legs, cupped hands, painted white socks with magenta rims, and purple ankle boots with tiny heels, antique silk and lace dress. Condition: generally excellent, small chip on upper rim of right arm. Marks: 4. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: rarity factors include large size, teeth, well-defined body modeling, and very rare painted purple ankle boots.
