Description
16 1/2" (42 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck on matching bisque shoulderplate, sculpted blonde hair captured under a snood at back of head with magenta and white lustre coronet and features, pierced ears, painted blue eyes, white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pert smile, sculpted detail on bodice includes beaded necklace, ruffled collar and blue insert, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower limbs, black painted ankle boots, wearing antique muslin gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, tiny chip on neck rim. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: the daintily-smiling lady features exceptional rarity points including neck construction, decorative snood, and unusual detail of bodice decoration.
